Bright Ideas

The Bright Ideas program is a suggestion program designed to reward ESS employees for contributing their ideas to help improve our operations.  Any idea that is implemented by the ESS management team will earn a $100 bonus!

Ideas can be submitted in four different categories:

  1. Cost-Savings
  2. Efficiency
  3. Workplace Safety
  4. Employee Incentives

Workplace Safety at ESS Clean

At ESS Clean, safety is more than a requirement — it’s part of who we are. We are committed to creating a clean, healthy, and safe environment for every associate, client, and visitor. Our safety program is built around preventing injuries before they happen, equipping our teams with the right tools and knowledge, and fostering a culture where everyone plays an active role in keeping each other safe.

Our Commitment

We invest in the people, systems, and resources needed to support safe work across all branches and job sites. This includes:

  • Clear information about hazards, products, and equipment

  • Training that prepares associates for real-world situations

  • Readily available personal protective equipment

  • User-friendly reporting tools for near-misses, injuries, and safety concerns

  • A Safety Committee dedicated to coaching, communication, and continuous improvement

We view safety as a partnership. By providing strong training, simple processes, and responsive support, we ensure our teams have what they need to work confidently and safely.

Compliance & Accountability

ESS Clean complies with all applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations. Our program defines clear responsibilities at every level — from leadership to managers to frontline associates — so expectations are understood, communication is consistent, and issues are addressed promptly.

But compliance is only the starting point. We are committed to building a culture where safe choices are the norm, questions are encouraged, and speaking up is expected.

Everyone Has a Role

We believe every associate deserves to go home safe at the end of each shift, and we take that responsibility seriously. While we provide training, PPE, and support, the most powerful influence on safety is each employee’s choices: following procedures, reporting concerns, and watching out for teammates.

Safety truly works when everyone participates. Together, we can create workplaces that are not just clean — but safe, predictable, and supportive for all.

We’re refreshing our safety program in 2026 to better support our teams and strengthen our safety culture across all branches. The updated program will focus on clearer communication, simple tools for reporting concerns, and meaningful recognition for safe behaviors.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:

  • Monthly Safety Topics that keep important information front-and-center

  • Easier ways to report near-misses and safety concerns — right from your phone

  • New safety recognition and rewards, including access to our Safety Store

  • A more engaging Safety Week with interactive activities and branch-level participation

More details will be shared soon. We’re excited to introduce a program that makes safety simpler, more consistent, and part of everyday work at ESS Clean.
